The Lucerne Valley Unified School District's governing board will convene at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 14.
The school board are scheduled to discuss and approve seven items:
— A resolution allowing longtime district teacher Cindy Lazenby to teach Intro to Computers for grades 7 and 8.
— A resolution allowing LVHS/MS Principal Patricia Courtney to teach math at the high school.
— Superintendent Suzette Davis receiving the same Masters Degree Stipends as the Certificated Management Staff and Bargaining Unit.
— A contract with Hour-Zero Crisis Consulting. Under the agreement, Hour Zero will develop an emergency preparedness program to assist organizations in the development, preparedness and execution of a plan for emergencies.
— Reducing the business miles reimbursement from 57.5 cents for 2015 to 54 cents for 2016.
— LVUSD audit report ending June 30. The audit was performed by Jeanette L. Garcia & Associates.
— The Sky Mountain Charter School Audit Report for Year Ended June 30, 2015. The audit was performed by Feddersen & Company, LLP.
Also during the meeting, student Aubry Hirschhown will give an update on Lucerne Valley Elementary School, and Antonia Ruiz from Jeanette L. Garcia & Associates will give a presentation regarding the audit. The board will vote on the item later during the meeting in the discussion/action portion of the meeting.
The monthly meeting will be held at the LVUSD Board Room, 8560 Aliento Road.
